Breitling – the sky’s the limit, or is it?!

Not content with manufacturing watches that are out this world, Breitling are literally going out of this world!

The Breitling Jet Team

Yes, Breitling have their very own aerobatic display team. How cool is that?

Not just any old aerobatic display team, though. Oh no! It is the largest civilian aerobatics team in Europe no less. And they fly with the winged B proudly displayed.

In keeping with the brand, and of course preventing a crash and burn situation, their displays are highly accurate and perfectly synchronized, rather important when they fly within 3 meters of each other at speeds of around 700 kmh and with as much as 8G acceleration!

The Breitling Jet Team consists of seven L-39C Albatros military training jets. The pilots are all highly experienced professionals, most of them from the French Air Force or from the Patrouille de France.

Their displays can be seen all over the globe, whether that be International air shows, or even Breitling corporate events! The display generally lasting around 20 minutes and includes formation flying, opposition passes, solo routines, and synchronized manoeuvres.

The video above is a tribute to New York, performed by the team in 2015.

Seen the show? Buy the t-shirt (or the watch)!

Breitling are, of course, renowned for making luxury, reliable, resilient, quality watches for professionals, which the team certainly are. The Navitimer enables pilots to calculate crucial data like average speed, fuel consumption and rate of descent, whilst the Emergency even has a distress beacon!

Take a look at just some of the impressive range of watches that they have to offer. I guarantee you will find something you love.

  1. That is so awesome! I never even knew Breitling had a jet team. I’ve never been to one of those shows, but i’ve heard that they are amazing. I have seen some videos online of the stunts they do, and it is completely mind boggling that they can do some of the things they do in the air. Great post!

    1. Agree Matt. I must get in with the guys from Breitling and see if I can blag a ride!
      Thanks for your comments.
