Hublot have a habit of collaborations, such as
- Hublot Big Bang Unico Bi-Retrograde Paris Saint-Germain
- Hublot Big Bang Ferrari Speciale Unico Ceramic
Well, they have gone and done it again!
They have teamed up with Berluti, the Italian company who are widely considered to be one of the world’s finest shoemakers. But, no the partnership is not going to be making shoes, so we don’t need to change the genre of this site! This is their beautiful creation:
The Hublot Classic Fusion Berluti is stylish and extravagant, as we have come to expect from the brand.
Leather Dial
Leather is, of course, no stranger to the world of watches. Many a leather strap has adorned our wrists over the years. But a leather dial. A leather what?…
Yes, Hublot have used the finest Berluti leather, not just for the gorgeous strap, but also for the watch dial.
I am sure that this presented quite a challenge to both parties, as leather is not really ideal for a sealed case and exposure to UV!
But Hublot have confirmed that the dial passed the same stringent tests that all other Hublot dials have undertaken.
The tobacco brown leather is embossed with hour indexes and logos, against a 45mm 18ct gold Classic Fusion case.
The matching strap has enscriptions embossed, hence the ‘Scritto’ name given to this edition of the timepiece.
Under the Hood
The Hublot Classic Fusion Berluti is powered by the calibre HUB1100, with 42 hours of power reserve.
All of this is wrapped up in a superb presentation box, made to look like a Beruti shoebox, complete with all the usual shoe care accessories!
Conclusion
Yes, it’s big and bold and made of gold (hey, that rhymes!), but it feels relatively slim on the wrist and the weight and balance give it that feel of complete quality. You know you are wearing this watch!
Get in quick, the ‘Scritto’ edition is limited to 250 pieces and will cost around £22,000, although there is also a black ceramic version available for £11,000.
That is one serious looking watch, and it does look great. This company sounds like they do put a lot of effort into the details when they create their products.
The Hublot Classic Fusion Berluti is a great looking watch and only having 250 pieces of them made will be quite the collection for the few who purchase them.
Thanks for your comments, Travis. You’re right, a really good investment, if you can afford it!
